PRODUCTION SYNOPSIS:
Grotesque glamour, unspeakable horror, nauseating filth...A twisted adventure to the darker sides of Drag and Queer performance art.
Paying our respects to the FREAKS that came before us.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘔𝘺 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨.

ROLE(S) AVAILABLE:
We are casting a maximum of 10 (ten) featured Drag and Queer performers for this event.
We will also be casting a strong, core group of backup dancers/movers.

*Please attend the initial auditions if interested in being a backup dancer/mover.

*All performers will be paid.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
What makes your onstage persona a FREAK?
What talent or act will make you a STAR?
Those are the answers we're looking for...

For you to provide those answers, we'll be looking for a presentation of a proposed number. We are looking for a unique, fully-realized concept that wows us.Think outside the box and let your freak flag fly!

Your presentation should include -

• Music choice, if any.
• Outfit(s), hair, and makeup.
• Basic staging, props, backup performers, etc.

After talking through your concept, you will be asked to perform a 1 minute cut of your number.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Performances are not limited to any specific medium. We are open-minded and would love to see lipsynching, live singing, dance, or anything your imagination can conjure!
• Please air on the side of consideration when developing your concept. Historically, there is a strong connection between the "Freakshows" of the past and the physical and mentally disabled communities. Be aware of the intent in your concept, and work to remain respectful of these marginalized individuals. We are here to honor, celebrate, and uplift.

REHEARSALS:

• Each performer will be required to have at least 1 (one) rehearsal prior to Tech Week with the Director, be it in person or digital.
• Beyond that, rehearsals will be as needed, based on the individual performer's experience and availability.

TECH WEEK:

• June 2nd - 6th. We will set up individual blocks those evenings with each performer for maximum efficiency.
  *Mandatory for all Rock Springs local performers. Out of town performers will coordinate with Director.
